How these VC lists work

Generalist stage lists

A firm must be labeled Generalist, name the stage as a primary focus, and report either “Mostly Lead” or “Can Lead” to enter a lead list. “Mostly Follow” firms enter the corresponding follow list instead.

Specialist lists

A firm must be labeled Specialist and carry the exact specialization shown on the page. Firms with several genuine specializations appear in each relevant list; generalists do not enter sector lists.

Source and maintenance

Every page is generated from the same public Airtable-backed database as the main search experience. Firm profiles expose the underlying thesis, team, source links and update path used to keep the information current.
