I back pre-seed/seed consumer software companies where community is the moat, not a feature bolted on later. The consumer winners didn't win on the cleanest UI, they won because they owned a group of people who showed up for each other. That's what I underwrite; products where the users are the reason other users stay. I look across travel, hospitality, niche social, creator economy, fintech, health, and home, but the behavior matters more than the category. AI is table stakes. I want to know what's defensible once everyone has the same tools. Early on, that's a founder who understands their community better than anyone, and a wedge that compounds: taste, data, or a network that strengthens with every user. Conviction over consensus.
